The Roman Road to Salvation
The Roman Road, named such since it is all in Pauls Letter to the Romans, is a list of verses usable much like the Four Spiritual Laws since it touches all the basics of salvation. A quick and simple way to remember the Roman Road is to just remember that it starts at Romans 3:10. For the next verse in the margin of your Bible add a note like 3:23, which is the next verse and at verse 3:23 add a note to go to 5:12. Doing it this way will make it easier to witness to someone using the Roman Road. Here are the verses, they are self explanatory and easy to understand, for Christians. Remember you will need to be able to explain each of these points.
- Romans 3:10 as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;
- Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
- Romans 5:12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:
- Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 10:9-10 because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus [as] Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Romans 10:13 for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
