Pauls Prayer for the Ephesians

This Prayer of Pauls from Ephesians 3:14-21 intriqued me and it was recommended to me to alter it slightly and use it. Here is the original prayer:

(ASV 1901) Eph 3:14-21 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him [be] the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations for ever and ever. Amen.

Beautiful isn't it? It never ceases to amaze me how well Paul expressed himself and how well it translated from the original Greek. Now this is the modified version of Pauls Prayer I came up with;

For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of my Lord and Saviour, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he would grant me, according to the riches of his glory, that I be strengthened with power through his Spirit in my inward man; that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith; to the end that I, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strong to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which passes all knowledge, that I may be filled to all the fulness of God. Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works in me, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations for ever and ever.
Amen.

If you will copy this version of Pauls prayer (cut and paste or however you wish) and use it in prayer at least once a day you will notice a change in your walk with Christ. It can take from an hour to several months, but change will happen and you will grow in Christ.
